I was informed that without I-94 card she cannot be added to my insrurance.
Can anyone suggest me some good insurance I can take online/india for this kind of situation...???

I have never seen anyone asking for an I-94 card to get your wife added to your insurance.If you are an employee going through employers insurance then they have to add you and your family to the insurance coverage without any discrimination . That is as far as I know . Maybe I could be wrong but I am pretty sure about it. You can take her insurance without she being here . I recently changed my coverage this month for myself and my family and its start date was the same day I submitted the forms and not the 1st of next month or something like that.

In the RIR system EB2 was MS + 3 and BS+5.
If BS+5 is still the norm in PERM...how come MS+0 is acceptable under PERM. Did they change the rule....I think this a loophole

Hello -- How long does it usually take to get access to the donor forum? I've signed up for recurring contributions to the effort via Paypal yesterday and wondering when i'll be able to get access. I am not sure if this is the right place to post this or not but just curious..

The H1 document in and by itself is not. The I-94 card that comes printed at the bottom is. And the I-94 card is a valid document as per the I-9 form.

How often does a denial happen in a case of H1 "transfer"? Do you know? Why would a transfer be denied?

The first time, the attorney screwed up. The company fired him ...and me as well since I was then out of status (long story that I will post someday, maybe...):mad: Second time, I never knew the details but the company appealed... and won.
All that can happen on any type of application of course. Everybody makes mistakes, and even without mistakes, no approval can never be guaranteed in advance.:(

We went through the similar situation few weeks back. My wife's employer took her out of payroll for sometime as she could not get her EAD approved on time. But we had to convince the manger that the delay was infact the result of USCIS processing our application late and they checked our EAD application receipt notice to make sure that we applied beyond the 90 day mark . This would help immediate managers to make a decision infavour of us when in talks with higher-up's.
Also if the application has been pending beyond 75 day , USCIS would allow you to make expedite request.

I think H1b will last more month this time than past 3 years. And lawmakers will think its not right time to increase.
I spoke to 1-2 relatives who are having consulting business and they told me they are reducing work force.. ( Not lay off but not interested to hire more and more h1b in this slow economy ) ....

b. hospital records with child and both parents name
c. census records with child and both parents name
d. school records with child and both parents name
e. religious records with child and both parents name for naming ceremony.
I do not have any of them, at the most the school record is 10th grade with only fathers name.
Any ideas?,. Lawyer says its OK, send whatever is available and write an explanation why any of the above can't be obtained.

I also read, if there was a pending EAD renewal, your case might get looked at and instead of renewing your EAD, USCIS will rather give you GC - provided PD is current and there are no other issues.
The USCIS systems are not that sophisticated as we think they are.
For me, I have opened an SR on Aug 4, got CPO on Aug 11, then the SR response came on Aug19 saying that my GC has been approved :)
...and wait there's more!
Aug 13 or so, they approved my pending EAD, this after approving GC on Aug 11. Lets give them a benefit of doubt assuming that their various servers didnt get synced up in those two days.
Last week of August, they send me information on my AP that was approved earlier and for which i had my attorney send an enquiry (as I didnt receive the AP by then)....
so basically what this shows is that mostly there exists a high disconnect in their various servers/databases, and most probably their processes are highly manual.
Gist of this, highly disconnected systems and I dont think SR would lead to anything..
But, yours looks like a porting case - so possibly they might have the wrong dates - it might help to open an SR or go for infopass...

We are chasing behind so many stuffs at this important time. We should forget about the merits or demerits of point system. It can be good or bad. We should forget about how Z visa holders get more benefit than us. It is something not in our control and big politics behind everything in the bill. Therefore, we should not concentrate on this as it is not our objective. We should focus only to eliminate retro in EB ASAP. We should try to bring a simple amendment to the bill, so that retrogression in current EB ends ASAP.
A simple thing to do is do not change drastically current form of bill. Don�t waste time on analyzing or chasing behind merits and demerits in H,Y,Z visas or all other positive or negative stuffs in this bill.
We should have only one focus. Eliminate EB retro first. For that a simple amendment will be, 242K visa is open to both old EB and newly created merit system. That�s all. This amendment will eliminate the retro immediately. All other discussions and efforts are waste of time and energy

Its been more than 2 weeks and I didnt get any response from USCIS after updating the address.It still shows initial review.
Does anyone know how long it would take for the USCIS to resend the card?
When i filed for my EAD card, they returned my card and I had to open SR by calling 800 number. I received card after 1 - 2 months time frame. Again with USCIS each case is different so hope you get faster.
