Thanks mp70 for sharing the information. Your experience has helped me with two worries. My 797 was approved in June end and I am going for stamping at Chennai at the end of July. You put my worries with the short gap PIMS verification issues to an end.
It is good to know that there is a separate counter for revalidation. Did the officer ask any information for dependents H4 visa?
Also, did you do anything to check whether your petition was present in the PIMS database?

I had a somewhat similar issue where my parent's I-94s had wrong names on them (Both had same names printed on them). My colleague at work told me that he got name spelling fixed for her mom by going back to the same airport. First I did not believe him, but when I tried it worked. By the way in my case I went back after 2 weeks and POE was IAD.
It looks like you can get minor errors on your I-94 fixed at the POE itself.

I came back to US on Mar 30 2008 using advance parole. The officer wrote on I-94 , paroled until Mar 29, 2008 (I am assuming its an oversight).
I didnt detect the oversight till yesterday. What my current status and what actions should I take to rectify the error.
I am still working for my employer that sponsored the H1B which is valid till Feb 2009, although the stamp on the passport was valid only till Feb 2008

There are 2 kinds of people in the world -
one who think that others (other people or government) is responsible for their current state and others are the ones who are willing to introspect, make appropriate changes and then succeed. Even a dumb (read "") can figure where they belong to.
An itchy dog needs to get himself rubbed against all possible objects so as to keep that itch in control. These websites are such places where these people go to satisfy their itch. Even the owners of these itchy dogs desert them (read "their god-father politicians") when they start doing this. Do you think, people like us, who are busy with their daily interesting work, family have time to look at them?
Look, the option is with us which is NOT to look at these stupid websites. None is forcing you to see these websites. So no point in complaining about them. First amendment rights for stupid is like a cigar in the hand of drunk monkey in california jungles (and we keep searching where these wild fires come from?).. so better neglect them and focus on our goal.
We are surely going to reach our goal, no matter what these stupid people say... if you think hard then you will realize then the life's goal is much beyond simply getting EB GC...

We should try for
1. Either to remove country quota
or
2. Re-instate soft quota.
The above is a long term and final solution.
Other solutions - allowing to file 485, h1 extension for 3 more years will ease our life while we wait for the green card but the first two would make the wait shorter - do we want to "comfortably" wait longer or get to the end point faster ?

I am scheduled to close my refinancing (changing from conventional to FHA). Quicken Loan processed my loan - of course their charges are a lot more than others. The point is, I did not face any objections so far due to EAD status. Of course they asked my EAD copy a few times. Hope this helps!

H4 people used to use TaxID instead of SSN in their tax returns (joint filing for ex.). What do they use when they get SSN after EAD ? Do they use SSN or just the Tax ID. Is there any requirement that they inform IRS that they got SSN and start using it instead ?

I am beginning to really like the 100-400, as was a bit worried as the first few images were not good at all, but as I learn how to use it I see it's all my fault. :)
