I have taken infopass 2 times in last 2 years, and they just tell me - we cannot tell anything about that info from the "screen" they have access to.
They just give a vague answer that everything is in order but your visa numbers are not available for your dates, you need to wait for visa number
I went twice, both the time they gave me that info. Not only that, they can tell you if your case was assigned to an IO or not and also when the IO reviwed you application lately. You will have to specifically ask them.

Today when I looked the I-485 status I found the status changed to card production ordered. I'm traveling to India on 1st Dec (coming saturday). It is a business trip and I'm unable to postpone it. My attorney says If I travel now, they will consider the GC abandoned. Is this true?? I have an approve AP with me. I also planned to stamp my H1B visa in India. What a confusion!
Gurus please give your thoughts.

As far as I know, if you re-enter using AP, you should just be fine..I would not get the H1B stamp and enter on H1....

My lawyer asked for separate checks for each application.. FP is always added to I-485 fees.. But since they issued EAD receipt for you and spouse, that means definitely 2 485s... Guess you need to wait for the receipts to get the missing receipt # or you can call USCIS...

Hi Guys,
I would like to know if we are eligible to claim our withheld medicare and soc.sec taxes for the year 2008. I was working initially while on F1visa and changed to H1B halfway through the year 2008.

Guys..i have noticed that so many other members has already been complained about the getting Red dots for no reason...i got the red for this post for just a spell mistake. BTW, in the first place, shouldn't you have checked before going to the Interview that his passport has expired?.....that is a bit lame in my view...!....that's the first requirement for going to any immigration office - your passport should be valid for atleast 6 months from that date.
Anyways, passport renewal can be done very fast at the consulate. I don't think they will stamp it on the current passport.

The current events starting from a rumor has caused frustration in our members.
