I'm going to go wayyyyyy out on the proverbial limb here and suggest that since mscriv knows the full map at the outset of the game, that he's going to pretty much lay traps or monsters in each or every other room we enter- especially the ones where there is only one door for us to enter into another room.
Perhaps we should reconsider the splitting up or else we will be picked off one at a time.
Thoughts? I'm just musing out loud. I'm sure my darling Beatrice will correct me or tell me what my thoughts should be anyhow. :p
The only trepidation I have against splitting up so soon is that we'll be weaker apart. But, on the other hand the longer we wait the chances of the monsters being stronger are better.
And my darling husband, I'm just in it for the alimony. ;)

As much as I want to see Apple sell phones, I also like to see healthy competition to keep away anti-trust issues. Apple is for people who like quality high-end stuff and Android is for Kmart shoppers ;)

I don't mind this as much as the requirement to be logged into your Apple account in order to use free app's from the App Store. Safe to say that's obnoxious.

It sure does. Quite exciting really. I think all consumer products will get Core 2 Duo (merom + conroe) in September. Although, seeing as Merom is socket compatable with the current line up, I dont think we will see a Conroe in the iMac.

Not really any new news, but the September date bummed me out.
I knew it would be another month or so, but I am so anxious to get a new laptop, the thought of waiting another 4-6 weeks (at best) is a bummer.
I just hope Apple doesn't wait until Paris Expo to announce it. Then we're talking 2+ months.
My money is on iMac and iPod nano updates in Paris, MacBook in November, the Long awaited Media Mac Mini at Macworld, new video iPod along with the launch of iTunes Video Store, as well as the long rumored new games for the iPod. Maybe a new iSight that is small enough to clip onto the iPod? Bah, I am getting way too carried away. Back to the point, since this is a pro targeted conference, it makes perfect sense for the MacBook Pro and Mac Pro to make appearances.

Yeah, they might even be right, but this definitely sounded inordinately defensive. If Palm's position were really secure, their attitude should be along the lines of "Let Apple do whatever it wants. We'll just keep making the best phones." But.... it wasn't.

This may have already been said, but I believe the timing of the release of the next iPhone is related solely to the fact - at least I believe it to be fact - that the next thing Apple will release/roll-out is their "cloud." That'll be done in May or so, and they don't want to cannibalize attention/press for their cloud with the next iPhone. They want a few months in between rolling out the cloud and something as big as the next incarnation of the iPhone.

I would love one and would buy a tablet from apple if they came out with one. I take notes on all sorts of stuff, and its not efficient to scan my scribbles into a computer. I'm not a fast typer and frankly typing is harder on my hands than writing. As far as PDA's go they are not bad but the screens are too small for me and dont seem powerful enough (my experience with a dell axim).
I've been tempted by PC tablets, but they are often underpowered, limited to 14" screens, and fragile. I think if you got rid of these issues they would be a good all in one solution as opposed to the hybrid laptop/handheld that tablets are now which seems to combine the worst of both worlds.
Will apple release this? Only if they can find an angle, to convince consumers to buy it. It does seem like wishful thinking...:(

I dumped iPhone at xmas, now I'll likely dump iPad 2 if this trend continues. If they really push the washington involvement to stop jailbreaking, I'll get rid of my 3 iMac\MB Air\MB Pro... I don't support companies who attack me. They're here because of me, not the opposite. If they don't get that, adios.

Maybe not at WWDC, but I don't see them waiting till Fall to put out new iPhone hardware, hold iOS5 till then, maybe, but not new hardware.
They risk losing people to Android, WebOS, etc... as the remaining iPhone3GS people all start coming off of contract, and nobody will go iPhone4 knowing 5 is just months away.
This waiting around also gives 3GS users a few months to check out other products (new Pre w/WebOS, etc). Apple does not want people looking around during that break time.

There are already multiple iPads.....18 of them to be exact. Why would u think Apple would want to add to this already rediculous number. This whole idea about a iPad pro line needs to stop. It doesn't make sense. It's only 2011. Want an iPad pro.....get an AIR.

It'd be SO cool but I see it as being far too modular. You have to buy this, an airport express and iTV to get the end effect.

I'm sorry but that my friend is bull $#hit. Not every migrant worker lives on the border. Here in Michigan our economy thrives on legals and illegals from Mexico picking blueberries and it's not by the hour. You get paid based on how much you pick. I did it when I was a kid for extra money and I'm a white American. You can make good money if you're fast but if you're lazy and slow you're not going to make much. It's not slave wages. The harder you work the more you make. A lot of those immagrants drive sport cars. I see a lot of people out there sitting on their A$$ getting their "check" from unemployment when they could be out there getting their hands dirty and making some money.
You should watch the movie "A day without a Mexican".

SI is superior in conversions only
Imperial is superior as I actually have a feel for the numbers
I also have a better feel for imperial units, but wouldn't someone who has grown up with SI have a great feel for those units?
The conversion to SI would be confusing for those who haven't grown up with it, I know I would have a bit of trouble getting used to it, but after a generation or two everyone would be used to SI.
